POLICE OFFICER - GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY:
The Police Officer is seen as the vital ingredient in meeting the goal of providing quality police services to the Community of Black Diamond. Police officers serve as the most common link to the citizens as both representatives of the Police Department and the City. Because of this, it is incumbent that police officers representing this agency provide quality enforcement (traditional policing) as well as personal service and compassion to the community at large (community policing).
GENERAL PURPOSE:
To enforce the ordinances of the City of Black Diamond, the laws of the City of Black Diamond as well as the State of Washington and the United States of America, where applicable. The police officer is equally important in empowering the community and providing a stableenvironment for those living in the community.
