The City Clerks Office is responsible for the following:

Preparing the City Council meeting agenda and packet material

Assisting departments with the drafting of
ordinances, resolutions and other action items

Recording and transcribing the City Council
meeting minutes

Administering programs assigned by the Council

Directing the City's records management program

Providing contract administration

Maintaining the City Code

Administering central services

Handling public information requests

Serving as the designated agent for receiving
claims against the City

Serving as liaison to King County Elections

Preparing and distributing the City Newsletter
